Application of Set Pair Analysis to Suitability Evaluation of Rural Housing Land

At present, it exists these problems in rural areas-Land settlements scattered, low volume and poor living facilities, which seriously restrict the socio-economic development in rural areas. The purpose of this study is to explore the method of evaluating the suitability of housing land in land readjustment. Evaluating the suitability of housing land is the basic job in land readjustment. The paper attempts to use a new method which is Set Pair Analysis Method to evaluate the rural land for construction’s grade. Method of set pair analysis and case study were applied. The results construct a set pair model of suitability evaluation of housing land thorough establishing an index system. It is concluded that the model can provide a feasible solution, as the case is studied in Xiuzhou District, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province.
