In pulse compression radar system, the Keystone transform is often employed to correct the range migration, which is induced by the fact that the coherent integration time is relatively long or target echo speed is relatively high. In absence of Doppler ambiguity, the above method can be performed well, however, if the Doppler ambiguity occurs, it is usually required to resolve the ambiguous number. Instead of it, in this paper, the calibrating while estimating (CWE) approach is proposed by using the relationship, which the more accurate the ambiguous number is estimated, the value of mean square error is smaller, and the range migration is corrected more accurately. The proposed method can be operated iteratively without the prior knowledge of ambiguous number. However, it cost a large amount of computation resulted from the Keystone transform. Finally, several numerical simulations are designed to verify its effectiveness.
