Modeling Network Security Competence for Certification

摘要

A two-dimensional model of competence in the area of network security is described. The main motivation comes from its use for certification. Comparisons are made with some features of related, well-known certifications. The paper is based on work done in an EU-funded project International Certificates of Excellence in Selected Areas of ICT (InCert, 2006-2009). Also key elements of InCert certification methodology and procedure are presented in the context of the network security certificate.
