This study considers Galileo Galileo’s astronomical observation thorough telescope and its cosmological implication. Hedenied the difference between terrestrial and heavenly worlds and he rejected the traditional hierarchical structure of theuniverse. In the Renaissance, before him, Patrizi and Bruno insisted the homogeneity of the universe, but they did only onspeculative grounds. Galileo firstly presented it from empirical facts.
