The microcellular open cell structure of polyurethane deliversimproved compression sets resulting in better shape retention than alternative materials. Polyurethanes work well in filterswith deep pleat designs, delivering more filtering area and since PUR filters can be cured at lower temperatures than PVCplastisol (typically 105 to 150°F vs. 400°F), PUR usage helps decrease cycletime and cost during the manufacturingprocess.
