Numerical Simulation of Mechanical Parameter for Hot Continuous Rolling Process

Rolling process belongs to geometric non-linearity,material non-linearity and boundary non-linearity,which is a complex and high non-linear problem,it is impossible to obtain analytical solution in terms of trying to roll or physical experiment because of high cost,waste time and venture.To adopt real sizes for billet and rollers,the finite element model of wire rod has been established by using FEM software MSC.MARC.According to thermal-mechanical coupled theory,the six-pass hot continuous rolling process of high-speed wire has been simulated precisely for pre-finishing rolling section by using advanced contact analysis method.The metal fluxion rule and the deformation field are obtained.The stress field,rolling force and rolling torque have been calculated and discussed along with time increment steps.The results of simulation are reliable and precise,which are useful for practical manufacture and the optimization of processes parameters.
