With the increase use of various electronic products in dairy life,electromagnetic radiation has become a very serious problem,and research on the materials for electromagnetic shielding has become a hot topic.This paper presents a new electromagnetic shielding material-carbon fiber shielding paper,which consists of wood pulp and carbon fiber(3 mm long).The shielding mechanism and shielding effectiveness(SE)of this paper between 100 KHz and 1.5 GHz were evaluated and investigated.The SE of this paper increased visibly with the increase of the carbon fiber content and the paper thickness.The SE also varied according to different electromagnetic wave frequency.The main shielding mechanisms of this paper are reflection and absorption.In the frequency range of 600 MHz~1.2 GHz,the shielding paper had higher SE than that of other frequency.The shielding paper with various SE (30 dB~50 dB)could be obtained by changing the carbon fiber content and the paper thickness,and could be used in different occasions for reducing or preventing electromagnetic interference(EMI),electromagnetic hazards,or information leakage.
