In mobile computing environments,as handheld devices’ small-screen,limited computing ability and capacity of storage, consumers still experience difficulties when browsing the web on such devices. Some researches focus on how to adapt a normal web page to handheld device.Meanwhile,it is necessary to put existing web adaptation engines into practice. To meet the requirement,a new scheme of mobile device oriented web page adaptation based on P2P collaborative deployment is proposed: on the premise of splitting a normal web page into small logical blocks,a P2P collaborative deployment scheme is provided; a specific algorithm is designed to assign blocks, manage devices, coordinate devices and decide how to carry exiting web adaptation engine by the using of P2P collaborative work mode; moreover,a prototype system and its evaluation experiments have been implemented to verify the scheme and show its values in both technical and economical viewpoints.
