The methods of alkali extraction and ethanol extraction were investigated by testing absorbance and minimal inhibitory concentrations of extract from scutellaria baicalinsis Georgi (SBG).And the antimicrobial activity and durable antibacterial property of the silk fabrics treated with SBG extract were obtained.The ethanol extraction was better and its minimal inhibitory concentration was 0.125ml/ml.The optimized fixation process parameters of SBG extract on silk fabrics were 40% extract concentration,pH 4,90°C,60 minutes.The inhibitory rate of the treated silk fabric was 99.99%,90.59% against staphylococcus aureus and escherichia coli,respectively.After 30 times washing,the inhibitory rate of the treated silk fabric dropped to 99.74%,84.50% when acting on staphylococcus aureus and escherichia coli,which indicated that the fabrics still had a good antimicrobial effect.
