Aiming at disadvantages and drawbacks of traditional production logistics control systems(PLCS) in the dynamic environments, based on control theories and through integration of proportional & integral control (PI) and statistical process control (SPC) technologies, an integrating PLCS (I-PLCS) is proposed. Its principle is to maintain a reasonable work-in-progress (WIP) in production systems by setting up WIP control loops between two workshop sections, in which two controllers, the backlog controller and the input rate controller, interact with each other, to maintain lower and steadier WIP in production systems so as to improve the ability of on-time delivery. Based on certain motorcycle engines' crankcases production system, the simulation evaluation of I-PLCS is carried out, whose results confirmed that I-PLCS has potential applications in the discrete manufacturing industry.
