摘要

Native trees that grow in the semiarid regions of northeastern Mexico are important feed resources for range ruminants and white‐tiled deer ( Ramirez, 1999 ).They also provide high quality fuelwood and timber for fencing and construction.Since water stress (González et al., 2004) is the most limiting factor in this region, the present work was focused to study how diurnal and seasonal leaf water potentials ( Ψ ) of native tree species are related to soil water availability and evaporative demand components.
