In the modern paper making process, high production efficiency is challenging the PMC (Paper Machine Clothing) industry. This presentation analyzes some of the modern PMC requirements, and provides examples of solutions from innovations in polymeric materials that are the PMC building blocks.One example of the polymeric materials developed will show its significant contribution towards sheet surface quality. Fabrics made of such materials have significantly improved durability in the seam flap area. It also contributes reduced risk of seam failures and sheet mark.
