A test bench was designed to monitor the permeation flow of hydrogen through polymer materials in operating conditions representative of the service life of a liner for composite cylinder dedicated to compressed hydrogen storage.Several materials were tested and the comparison of their permeability coefficient provides a good tool to benchmark liner materials. This test is indeed easier, faster and cheaper to carry out rather than at the cylinder scale.
