There was a serious earthquake at Wenchuan County in Sichuan province on 12 May 2008. It brought fatal casualty, and the eco-environment was affected acutely either. The fore-and-aft earthquake land use/cover types of research area were classified using Beijing-1 small satellite multiple spectrum images. Based on the land use/cover change, the eco-environmental problems were studied, including biotope change, vegetation cover change, hydro-ecology change and land degradation. Then the eco-environmental status change was evaluated. The conclusion is that Wenchuan earthquake affected the land use/cover and eco-environment of the research area acutely, and the eco-environmental status change is observably.
