Technologies based on the Extensible Markup Language (XML) offer an alternative to conventional databases. Complex documents marked up using the XML standard constitute what is known as "self-describing data" or "semi structured data", which is defined as data that has an irregular structure not known in advance, which can change frequently without notice. Due to the exponential growth of this information, the search process has become complicated and ineffective, overwhelming the users with irrelevant information. Most of the current XML native databases base their search on the co-occurrence of keywords within the text, dealing only with lexical and sometimes syntactic aspects. For these reasons, in this work it is presented the architecture of a new platform for searching on XML Native database, with the aim of dealing with the problem of the improvement the quality of the results. The integration, architecture and searching process in the platform are detailed.
