Present communication systems integrate with various communication network system for the entrance to a ubiquitous information society. Especially, the broadcasting and muti-casting services are expected to be increased for consumption. Mobile satellite communication system can overcome the limitation of space, and moerover a number of different services will be served by using the satellite property of covering a wide area. After analyzing the characteristics of channel over wireless satellite systems, the parameters which are necessary for the mobile services are presented. We used LMS (Land Mobile Satellite) channel[1] for channel modeling, and especially, we analyze the statistical characteristics of long-term fading effect under satellite communication channel. This paper is meanful as the prior research to make a decision how we manupulate the parameters in error correcting code and interleaving process for satellite communication system.
