Based on the formula of thermal radiation from fireball, the injury criterion adapted to instantaneous fire is chosen, and the formula of injury-distance adapted to the burn of high temperature gas from gas explosion is set up. The death distance, the Grievous Bodily Harm(GBH) distance and the flesh wound distance of the burn of high temperature gas from gas explosion are determined, which offer academic basis for the safety assessment of gas explosion.
