摘要

This paper aims to investigate the efficiency of hysteretic dampers incorporated in thin-walled steel bridge structures against major earthquakes. Hysteretic damper concerned here is buckling-restrained brace (BRB), which dissipates energy through metallic yield under axial loading. Inelastic dynamic analysis has been performed. It is found that such a energy-dissipated member is effective on earthquake hazard mitigation.
