Licensing requirements for decommissioning a monazite processing plant in Malaysia

A monazite processing plant was shutdown after 12 years of operation. In order to decommissionand decontaminate the plant facilities, the plant operator is required to apply for suitable classes of licence fromAtomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB). This paper focuses mainly on the licensing requirements imposed on thelicensee to decommission a monazite processing plant in Malaysia.
