System and method for analyzing cost of processing waste generated during decommissioning a nuclear power plant

Provided are a system for analyzing costs of nuclear dismantlement waste and a method thereof. The system comprises: a dismantlement waste information storage storing information needed to estimate the total costs for processing dismantlement waste generating when dismantling a nuclear power plant; and a dismantlement waste processing cost analysis server configured to estimate the total cost by using information stored in the dismantlement waste information storage. The dismantlement waste processing cost analysis server calculates the number of accidents during a unit period based on an average value of a plurality of random numbers generated to form triangular distribution, calculates a probability of occurrence of an accident which may occur in a process of processing the dismantled waste by using a probability mass function of Poisson distribution applying the number of accidents during the unit period, and calculates the total costs by taking into account the recovery costs according to the probability of occurrence of the accident.
