The Yazaki-provided in-vehicle telematics terminal (hereafter called "telematics terminal") is a device that is designed to obtain data (including a speed sensor signal) from a vehicle and use a built-in communication module (for wide area communication) to transmit driving data and GPS data to the Yazaki APS (Application Service Provider). With the widespread use of the ETC system, Yazaki will utilize the telematics terminal and ETC system in combination, and introduce commercial vehicle-specific equipment that is intended to provide safe and fuel-efficient driving support in a timely fashion.
