Research on Manufacturing Resource Information System Based on Application Server Provider for Supporting Small- and Medium-scale Enterprises Dynamic Alliance

In our country, the level of information technology is lower in small-and medium-scale enterprises for the limitation of their funds, talents and technology. As an enterprise organization pattern of Agile Manufacturing,dynamic alliance is the most competitive mode in 21 century. It is imperative for small-and medium-scale enterprises to participate dynamic alliance and to improve their competitions by using networked manufacturing technology. Therefore, it is significant to research manufacturing resource information system and its key techniques based on Application Service Provider (ASP) for supporting small-and medium-scale enterprises dynamic alliance according to their present situations and existing problems.Features of networked manufacturing based on ASP are introduced flrsdy in this paper. On the basis of analysing the requirements to manufacturing resource information system under dynamic alliance environment, this paper presents the architecture of manufacturing resource information system based on ASP for supporting small-and medium-scale enterprises dynamic alliance. Some key techniques, which include manufacturing resource information modeling,seeking for the allied partners based on ASP, distributed manufacturing resource information sharing and cooperative design, safety control of application service based on ASP,are discussed.It is demonstrated in practice that developing manufacturing resource information system based on ASP is one of the important ways for small-and medium- scale enterprises to realize Agile Manufacturing. It is beneficial to attract them to take part in dynamic alliance and to realize information sharing and cooperative design, thus improve their capacity of competition.
