Integration between Mining Smelting Business and Environmental Business

Dowa Mining Co., Ltd. was established in 1884 as one of the leading mining and smelting companies in Japan. Since then, Dowa has expanded its business fields, and in October, 2006 shifted to a holding company with five subsidiary companies, DOWA Metal Mining, DOWA Thermo-Tech, DOWA Eco-System, DOWA Electronics, and DOWA Metal-Tech, based on its extensive range of technologies accumulated over the years, to facilitate quick managerial decisions and accommodate highly efficient business development to respond positively to a rapidly changing competitive business environment. DOWA Eco-System is in charge of environmental management & recycling (E&R) business in cooperation with DOWA Metal Mining, which deals with nonferrous, precious and rare metals refinement and sales.
