1. Quick start-up is more important than felt life to your machine efficiency. 2. You have the necessary water handling equipment (save-alls, vented rolls). 3. Press rolls are in good condition. 4. More pressing intensity is required. 5. Crushing is not a concern. 6. Sheet marking is not a concern. 7. Felt contamination is not a limiting factor. 8. Felts are running too dry into the nip.
