Papermaking de-watering press feeds paper, carton or tissue through three de-watering nip gaps to a fourth nip gap with de-watering belt

In a papermaking process a web (1) of paper runs through a series of nip gaps. After the web has passed through the third nip gap central drum (4) it comes into contact with an endless water pick-up belt (11) in a fourth nip gap formed by a lower shoe press drum (6) under a smooth drum (7). The central drum (4) and the smooth drum (7) are on opposite sides of the web (1). The first nip gap is formed by a shoe pres drum (2) and a press drum (3). The second nip gap is formed by the first press drum (3) and a smooth central drum (4). The third nip gap is formed by the central drum (4) and a second press drum (5). The first shoe press drum, the second and second press drums are each enveloped by a dewatering belt (8, 9, 10).
