Aluminum-copper roll-bonded sheets have been used successfully in the anode Joint A of an aluminum reduction cell for about four years. The bimetal sheets continue to perform well, with voltage savings estimated at $20,000 over the life of each cell. A second application of bimetal sheets has been implemented and is also achieving excellent results in voltage reduction, hi the newest application the sheets are installed in the anode Joint B in a double-sheet "sandwich" design.
