摘要

Calcium oxide stabilized zirconia coatings have been depositedonto Ti-6Al-4V substrates by means of atmospheric plasmaspraying and incubated in the simulated body fluid for differentperiods of time to investigate the formation of apatite on theirsurface. The phase composition and microstructure of thecoatings before and after immersion were examined by scanningelectron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. The results obtainedshowed that apatite can be formed on the coating soaked in SBFsolution, which indicated that calcium oxide stabilized zirconiapossessed good bioactivity.
