Inkjet printing is familiar as a method for commercial and consumer printing. It is also widely studied as a method to deposit materials for devices. Compared to other printing processes, inkjet has the major advantage of being a non-contact method, making it easy to print on rough or curved surfaces. This also makes it easy to print multiple materials or to print on surface that already carry a soluble component such as a dye.
