摘要

TEA enhances the flame retardant performance. The increasing flame retardancy can be attributed to following three functions of TEA. First, TEA can esterify the free carboxylic acid groups of BTCA during curing process and the reaction between TEA and BTCA improves the hydrolysis-resistance of the BTCA crosslinking system and laundering durability of HFPO bound on the cotton/Nomex blend fabric. Second, TEA enhances flame retardant performance through phosphorus-nitrogen synergism. Third, addition of TEA can reduce deposit of calcium on the treated cotton/Nomex blend fabric during laundering. However, further addition of TEA destroys flame retardant performance.
