摘要

The present work is born because of the increase of portable electronic devices like portable radios, digital photograph cameras, GPS, mobile phones, etc., which are being used nowadays. The GPS, for instance, is aa great energy consumer, being necessary ttoo take spare batteries to guarantee the supply The aim of this paper is the description of the design and development of aa portable electric energy generation system, based on solar photovoltaic energy, and capable of supplying different portable devices. The requirements that the device must fulfill are: lightness, reduced size, easy assembly, connectivity, portability, resistance to climatic agents, durability, robustness, guarantee of continuity of the service. The designed photovoltaic system consists of the four following elements: aa flexible photovoltaic generator; an energy storage device that is constituted by aa lithium ion battery; aa battery charger; and aa regulator which controls the previous devices.
