Traditional dynamic testing of cured rubber samples has been performed in cyclic compression using Dynamic Mechanical Analyzers and Goodrich Flexometers. More recently Dynamic Mechanical Rheological Testers measure these properties in conjunction with viscosity and curing tests. The paper focuses on a comparison between the three methods, and how using newer types of testing can add efficiency and provide equivalent information. Compounds with varying properties will be tested in order to evaluate a wide range of viscoelastic behavior.
