Modelling the Process of Condensation of Refrigerating Media in Tube Condenser

Experimental investigations on the process of condensation of the R404A refrigerating medium inside the tube channel were carried out. An analytical model of the refrigerant condensation process was developed on the basis of equations of conservation of energy, momentum and mass rearranged into a single-dimensional form. Our own empirical relation enabling to determine the values of the heat abstraction coefficient was applied as an auxiliary equation. The calculation results were compared with own and other authors' experimental results. A good agreement within ± 10 % was reached.
