The flows on two-types plates have been measured by a laser Doppler Anemometer (LDA) and a particle image velocimetry (PIV). A flat plate and a multi-holed plate, which are set in the vertical wind tunnel, are tested. The temperatures of the plates are set as room temperature (about 293 K) and 373 K. It is shown from the results that the holes on the first row can affect only fluctuation velocity. In the downstream, the boundary layer thickness becomes thick by the holes, and the fluctuation velocity increases. When the plat temperature becomes high, the boundary layer thickness becomes thin and fluctuation velocity increases. The spatial flow structure formed by the holes can be well observed by the PIV measurements.
