Business intelligence by today is never a new technology instead of an integrated solution for businesses, within which the business requirement is definitely the key factor that drives technology innovation. A case study in life insurance industry is introduced in the paper, to demonstrates how innovative BI infrastructure and application could effectively address major business challenges in China life insurance industry and achieve operation excellence and business impact.
