The transport for low-z impurities inIR-T1 Tokamak (R=45 cm, a=12.5 cm, Bt=0.6-0.9 Tesla, Ip=25-40 kA, τd=20-22 ms) has been studiedtheoretically and in conjunction with several experiments. As a resultwe have determined some ionization stage profiles of the main componentsof impurities (oxygen and carbon) with a single channel visiblespectrometer. A one-dimensional impurity transport code has been set up,and some characteristics of the impurity transport in IR-T1 Tokamak havebeen analysed. The numerical analysis was done by a set of coupledcontinuity equations in cylindrical coordinates with ionization andrecombination coefficients given by the Lotz semi-empirical formula andby the Kramer formula respectively
