摘要

The paper presents a numerical, worst-case study of the coupling between coagulators and implanted neurostimulation systems under consideration of the human body. For this purpose, the devices regarded were characterized and modeled and a special human body model has been implemented. With this model, whose electrical properties correspond to a weighted average of those of different tissues of the human body, the influence of the latter can be taken into account in the computations. Different parameters, such as position of the neurostimulation system and its electrode, coagulation frequency and coagulation point on the surface of the human body, are considered to achieve worst-case results. The investigation shows that, for the scenario described, strong peaks occur in the resulting graphs arising from resonance effects on the coagulator cable.
