摘要

Hongjiadu (HJD) hydropower project which is located in the northern source of the main stream of the Wujiang River is the head hydropower station in the cascade projects of the Wujiang River. It is also one of the start-up projects among "west-electricity transmitted to the east" items. The gate of the diversion tunnel will be dropped down in April, 2004 and a generating unit will firstly generate electricity in July in the same year. The hydrostructures of the project consist of a dam and the structures on the left bank which conclude a spillway, a tunnel spillway, power conduit system, a power house and so on. The damsite is located in the high mountainous region with narrow valleys and karst, and the height of the dam is 179.50m. It is one of the highest concrete faced rockfill dam (CFRD) that is under construction in the world. The dam has been embanked 137m added up 7.0 million m3 at the present time and it underwent twice tests in 2002 and 2003 flood season respectively. The dam will experience the test of water storage in 2004. New technologies, such as narrow continuous plinth with equivalent width and impact compaction by LAND Pac, are adopted in the dam design and construction of HJD CFRD. The article presents the design and construction technique of HJD CFRD.
