摘要

Deformation occurred in high concrete faced rockfill dam (CFRD) is a typical and complicated 3D "discontinuous deformation" problem. Based on the analysis of characteristics as well as some problems, MSC.Marc nonlinear finite element analysis program is redeveloped and a 3D submodel method is put forward. The method is used to make a numerical simulation on stress and deformation of Shuibuya CFRD under construction in China, the highest CFRD in the world at present. The discontinuous boundary of face slab in three directions, complicated material zoning, construction process and deformation characteristics of rockfill mass under the complicated stress path are dealt with in the simulation. Results show that 3D submodel method can effectively solve the problem of lower computational accuracy inherent in the numerical analysis of stress and deformation in high CFRD.
