Introspection, a zero-overhead binding technique duringself-diagnosing microarchitecture synthesis is presented. Given ascheduled control data flow graph (CDFG) introspective binding exploitsthe spare computation and data transfer capacity in a synergisticfashion to achieve low latency fault diagnostics with near zero areaoverheads without compromising the performance. The resulting on-chipfault latencies are one ten-thousandth (10-4) of previouslyreported system level diagnostic techniques.
