This work describes the transformation of the graduate engineering management program at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) from a convention graduate program to a responsive program that couples campus-based courses with distance learning in a seamless manner. This transformation addressed increasing demands locally and regionally for balancing pressure for life-long learning with demand from work and personal lives. Current research is aimed as evaluating the effectiveness of this transformation in meeting needs of employers and their employees and the perception and support within the community for the new program.
