According to a recent tendency of refocusing on continuous composite girders without prestress, some methods to restrict crack width for RC slabs in the negative bending region have been examined. However, a method to simulate crack generation and propagation of RC slabs that can consider interaction with the elasto-plastic behavior of overall girder has not been established. In this context, we originally develop a multiscale analysis that can simulate microscopic behavior such as the crack width of RC slabs and local strain of reinforced steel as well as the nonlinear behavior of overall girders. Moreover, the feasibility of our method is confirmed by comparing the results of the analysis to those of our experiments on two-spanned continuous composite girders.
