Research on the Characteristics of Mixed Municipal Solid Waste and Its Combustion Products in Chongqing

The experiments about the characteristics of mixed Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and combustion products show: There are higher inorganic constitute, water, ash and lower heat value in mixed MSW. The components of the gas are basically composed of N_2, CO_2, H_2O and O_2, and include a little of CO, HCl, NOx, SOx and H_2S. The ash is mainly composed of SiO_2, Al_2O_3, CaO, CaSO_4, and etc. The excessive air coefficient and temperature are the important influence factors for the components of the gas. The available combustion temperature of mixed MSW is 800 ～ 1000°C.
