Blown film processors need new solutions to expand operating boundaries. Innovative solutions will help processorsbroaden the variety of films they can produce, maximize their time and investment, improve output rates, andimprove the quality of their film. By increasing temperature isolation inside multilayer coextrusion dies processorscan produce new structures with the properties that the market demands. By optimizing the blown film die gapprocessors can reduce the down time required to change lip sets and process film at optimum settings for thestructure. By eliminating melt fracture on the surface of film, processors can produce film with more desirableproperties for printing and eliminate the use of processing aids. By reducing blocking, processors can improveoutput, reduce additive costs and make film that is easier to convert. Results of field trials and laboratory tests showthat these solutions work.
