Traditionally, the automotive development process has aimed to reduce vehicle sound levels in order to reflect the perceived image of a quality product. However, there is now increasing interest in vehicle sound quality, and perhaps one of the more interesting implications of this is the engineering of a 'sporty' exhaust tailpipe sound.
