摘要

Today, manufacturing system design remains largely ad hoc and manual. A new approach in system development called system-level thinking is currently emerging, describing solutions on the basis of functional components and relationships between them in a technology and language independent manner, preserving software and hardware migration. This involves solving critical sub-problems such as specification, validation and synthesis. The purpose of this paper is to show how a system design flow can strongly enhance the time, cost of development and design quality when designing such hardware/software Real-time Systems.
