Physicochemical characterizations of controlled release polilactofate polymeric microspheres with insulin

Poliactofate polymer is a new class of biodegradable polyphosphoester polymer, which shows potential to deliver drugs, cytokines and proteins (1). Here we report on our initial efforts to characterize microspheres prepared from polilactofate polymer with insulin using various physicochemical methods. Our goal was to characterize the formulation before testing the formulation in vivo.
