A unique series of hydrocarbon gels with application in personal care, home care, and pest care products

The use of transparent water-based gels is common in air freshener technology as well as in cosmetic products. Hydrocarbon gels are used less frequently and have typically been prepared from metal salts such as aluminum stearate or from the addition of fumed silica to mineral oil. Each of these gelling systems has some drawbacks, including oil bleed and processing difficulties.
