Yangtze Estuary is a delta characterized by ample flow and sediment and obvious tidal influence, with average annual flow 924 billion m~3 and sediment 486 million ton, which create a basic regime of the estuary characterized as three-stage bifurcation, four-river mouth split, shoal developed, available navigation channel alternated, sandbar and submerged delta stretching.
