In this paper, the method for the determination of Ta and trace La, Y in superalloys by inductively coupled plasma spectrometry (ICP-AES) is described. The dissolving method of samples and the spectral interference by other alloying elements were studied. Matrix-match method was used to eliminate spectral interference, internal-standard addition method was used to eliminate non-spectral interference. The relative standard deviation of Ta was less than 2
