Container ships design aspects of larger vessels

Lloyd's Register has, since the introduction of the first ISO standard container in the early 1960s, been involved with the development and the design appraisal of dedicated cellular container ships. The latest post-Panamax ships have a capacity of nearly 8000 TEU, that is 8000 twenty foot containers.
